Some of us from the Creatuity team recently got the chance to meet up with Brandon Briggs, Channel Manager at dotmailer, to learn more about the company. If you’re unfamiliar with dotmailer, I’ll give you a little background on their service and what we learned in our demo with Brandon!
dotmailer is an email marketing automation business that was built by markets, for marketers. This means that you won’t have to worry about development barriers and you can let your creative ideas flow with dotmailer’s easy functionality, you also have the awol academy that helps people become better at marketing every day. It has a drag and drop system that makes it simple to set up triggered emails and create customized email designs.
There are a plethora of amazing features that dotmailer has to offer, including multi-language, customer profiling and A/B testing (just to name a few). Among all the beneficial features that they have to offer, one of the coolest ones to me was how you can make one email template but tweak certain parts of it to cater towards certain demographics or customer attributes. Say your company sells sports memorabilia and merchandise, and you want to market different products to each specific state. You can switch out one banner of your email to go to each state and customize that banner for the teams in that state. For instance, you can set up dotmailer to send all emails to Texas customers advertising the Dallas Cowboys products, and send all emails to Florida featuring the Miami Heat products. They make it unbelievably easy to market your products and promotions toward certain demographics.
dotmailer Works with Magento 1 and 2
dotmailer works seamlessly with many systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce and Magento. They were selected by Magento as their first and only Premier Technology Partner for marketing automation. While using it with Magento, you are able to manage your email marketing automation directly through your Admin Panel. dotmailer will pull customer information from your Magento database (like customer attributes, location, and wish list) and sync it with dotmailer.
Dotmailer is also fully Magento 2 ready so if you’ve recently migrated, or plan on migrating soon, you won’t have to wait on a new extension to be written. To read more details on dotmailer, head over to their website!
