Our Company Values
To open the 2019 year, as an organization, we are actively reorganizing and overhauling the various meanings behind our company’s values, mission statement, and vision. From our eight previously-identified values, we have constructed a newly improved list of virtues with insight as to what each personality trait or skill means to Creatuity. Our new values will consist of: Integrity, Community, Ownership, Resourcefulness, and Relationships. At Creatuity, we search for ways to ensure that all of our employees relate strongly to company values, to unite individuals with a variety of personalities, communication styles, and organizational roles. We believe in constant improvement and innovation in all aspects; We prioritize work-life balance, creativity and cultivating a mindset that fosters forward-thinking. In order to provide a positive work environment for everyone, regardless of status or position, each team member is responsible for internalizing and illustrating our values. The following article regarding Resourcefulness is the second of a deep-dive series into what each of the five virtues represent to each of us at both an individual and company-wide level.
In the context of our industry, we might refer to a community as a group of individuals who are bonded through shared culture, beliefs, goals, reciprocal support systems, and professional relationships. When we chose to be part of a community, we compile our knowledge, resources, and skills that allow us to work toward shared goals. Community means that we are dedicated to our colleagues, our work, and our position within the organization while being motivated by the way those around us innovate and take initiative. Within Creatuity, we are part of a series of interconnected communities that encompass all of our interactions– at the internal-office, local-geographic, national, and global levels. A community is a simultaneous blending of collective group membership and individualistic leadership that yields professional growth and opportunities. When we feel as if we’re an integral part of a well-functioning team, we have drawn inspiration from one another, form shared goals, and see reaching the shared goals as an essential part of our individual success. As a team, we endeavor to develop a work environment and culture that promotes transparency, respect, open channels for communication, and genuine understanding.
Community is about allowing for the creation of a space that fosters meaningful connections between team members, and where these connections are forged, bolstered, and respected. By creating these spaces, we hope to encourage a productive, engaging, and positive work culture. We believe that a stable, inclusive community provides many unique advantages for each of our international team members. Amongst these advantages are the provision of a support network at both an individual and company-wide stage, a sense of belonging and togetherness, and the alignment of shared goals. Community illustrates in itself in many forms; from healthy mentorships, to friendships that lead to spending time together outside of work, or encouraging each other to lead healthier, more conscientious lives.
As our organization grows, we will prioritize the maintenance of our company culture, beliefs, and values. We recognize that each of our successes are dependent on the successes of those around us; we show gratitude toward one another, support each other through struggles or obstacles, and we celebrate the successes our team members through conscious and deliberate community-building. With new team members and international growth, we will work to preserve the sense of community we’ve cultivated as a smaller company. We will retain the energy and commitment of a young company while maturing, improving, and innovating as an organization. We can continue to sustain our culture by showing a genuine interest in the health, happiness, and wellbeing of our colleagues. We will strive to connect with, and accept with open minds, our coworkers and their styles of communicating, working, and succeeding.
We work to bring about a feeling of collective community with our clients, partners, and the local communities in which we physically reside. We place a high value on getting involved with regional groups and other organizations at the city/neighborhood level through volunteering and other acts of service. As a Magento Partner, we believe it is our responsibility to extend this sense of community through our behaviors while representing the values of the Magento brand in all of our actions. We see the successes of other agencies as contributing to the overall, enduring success of the entire Magneto ecosystem. We work to achieve the highest standards so that we can serve as an example to other agencies and individuals in the global Magento community while tirelessly pursuing innovation within our own organization. The global Magento community consists of over 300,000 forum members, 7,500 certified individuals, and 1,150 partners. We demonstrate unity and togetherness by caring for something larger than ourselves through our passion for Magento and its worldwide community. If we can successfully generate a thriving system of communities with our partners, clients, and others within the Magento ecosystem, we can provide mutually-beneficial opportunities to our community members while creating innovative solutions and technologies.
