Kirby Allison Goes Live With a New Site Design
Outdated Sites Turn Off Customers
Site design and site usability can be make or break when it comes to a business making revenue. In a recent study by Nielsen Norman Group sites can increase their current sales by 79% if they improve their site design and usability. With the right design, an e-commerce site can make brands more successful than ever.
Outdated sites are disorganized and glitchy, leaving potential e-commerce customers frustrated and uninterested in browsing for products. This results in the loss of sales, and may even lead potential customers to competitors with better websites to finish their shopping journey.
When our team began working on the site redesign of our client Kirby Allison, our goal was to ensure their future customers were satisfied with the user experience.
New Site Design
Our team started with a simple Magento 2 migration. Magento 2 is more responsive than its predecessor, and supports Progressive Web Applications. Additionally, it has faster loading times, a simplified admin panel, and increased security. Magento 1 recently lost its security patches as its end-of-life commenced June 30th.
We also refreshed their site design and theme, creating a fresh design for their brand and increased usability for Kirby Allison customers. You can see the difference between their original design and the design we implemented below.
